Praying through First Samuel, Chapter 11 – Spiritual Battle

I’m excited to share this 31-day marriage prayer series hosted by my friend and fellow blogger, Davonne Parks, The Tidy Mom. The series is taking place here at for the entire month of October.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We may never fight a physical battle like the Israelites and Ammonites did, but we’re daily fighting a spiritual one. When we’re weak and allow Satan to have a part of our hearts, we cause division in our marriage and separation from You.

Even if we think our sins are secret, they still cause a divide. Because we can’t be open. We can’t be fully united. And if we do succeed in hiding any sin from each other, we can never hide it from You.

Help us to be victorious. We want to make choices that please You and to be fully united as a couple, fighting this spiritual battle together.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

“… and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.” 1 Samuel 11:11, KJV

“… Those who survived were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.” 1 Samuel 11:11, NIV
