Praying through First Samuel, Chapter 28 – Eternity
I’m excited to share this 31-day marriage prayer series hosted by my friend and fellow blogger, Davonne Parks, The Tidy Mom. The series is taking place here at MarriagePrayers.today for the entire month of October.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We appreciate that we can study Your word to learn about any topic, including life after death. We don’t want to fear the end of life like Saul did. Please show us how we can live in a way that makes us look forward to eternity. Help us remember that earth is only our temporary dwelling place, and Heaven is our true home if we believe in Your Son and obey Your Word (James 2:14-26).
Please assist us in encouraging each other to live in a way that honors You. Show us how we can lovingly lift each other up in addition to confronting any sin that needs to be addressed. Help us to live a life of integrity, free from secret sin so we can anticipate, not dread, what comes after death.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
“Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid…” 1 Samuel 28:20, KJV
“Immediately Saul fell full length on the ground, filled with fear…” 1 Samuel 28:20, NIV
