Praying through Proverbs, Chapter 25 – Living Water

Praying through Proverbs, Chapter 25 – Living Water

Dear Heavenly Father,

We know what it’s like to be thirsty on a hot summer day when nothing feels better than a cool glass of water. And without You, we’re spiritually parched. Lord, help us to fill ourselves up with Your Word.

We want Your goodness to flow through us so we can minister to each other and to others without our wells running dry (John 4:14).

Guide us as we strive to treat each other with kindness, so that marital hurts won’t hinder us from having the focus to share Your good news (Mark 16:15-16). We want to care more about eternal souls than we care about temporary comfort so please give us a desire to tell others about You as we go about our days.

You are the Living Water and we want to use the good news from Your Word to help quench thirsty souls.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.  A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring. – Proverbs 25:25-26, KJV

Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land. Like a muddied spring or a polluted well are the righteous who give way to the wicked. – Proverbs 25:25-26, NIV
