Marriage Prayer – To Love and to Serve Without Keeping Score
Dear Heavenly Father,
Please teach us to love and to serve the people that you have put in our lives. Help us to grow in the likeness of Jesus Who came to serve rather than to be served.
May we live beyond ourselves, serving and loving each other without keeping score—giving to others without the hope of acclamation or expectation of return.
Help us to see the beauty in serving. Allow us to be Your hands and Your feet in this world.
In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. – Philippians 2:4-8, KJV
