Marriage Prayer – To Protect our Hearts
Dear Heavenly Father,
We’ve prayed for our marriage and still we live the same way. We still carry the pride that we desperately want to let go of. We still get angry when we don’t get our own way. We’re not as patient as we hoped that we would be. We say things we wish that we didn’t…
And then we’re left wondering why, until You gently remind us that all things flow from the heart. If we want to see real change in our lives, our hearts must change first.
And so we ask that You transform our hearts, Lord–not just for the sake of each other, but that we might be vessels of honor and glory and grace.
Cutaway anything that hinders our walk. Bring sin to light that we might remove these bad habits and change them.
Teach us to love the way You love. It might take some hard lessons, and so we ask for Your strength.
In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
