Our Blessings Are Countless – Today’s
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this beautiful day, Lord. One look outside of our window, and we see that our blessings are countless. The Bible tells us, “Thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.” – Nehemiah 9:6, KJV
This marriage too is by Your design, Lord, created with precision, forethought, and grace. You have entrusted us with each other’s heart, to have and to hold until death do us part.
We ask that You teach us to embrace this gift that we have in each other and to nurture this marriage as we’re learning to love. Teach us to be patient and kind, humble and wise. Remind us to give up ourselves for each other, as we humbly serve in Your name.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. – Nehemiah 9:6, KJV
You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. – Nehemiah 9:6, NIV

The Virtuous Life of a Christ-Centered Wife is written in the format of an 18-part study for daily or weekly reflection. Not only is it a powerful tool for personal growth, but it’s also an ideal study guide for small groups! Each lesson leads you through one virtue at a time, offering you applicable and inspiring ways for a wife to grow closer to God and her husband. The virtues discussed are these:
Virtue calls us to action. As we exercise each one, they bring our flesh in line with our Spirit. It’s one thing to know what’s good, and it’s another to walk in obedience to the knowledge that we have received. Not always easy, but obedience to our faith is always worth the effort it takes!
