To Deal With Our Disagreements –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help us to deal with our disagreements with maturity, wisdom, and grace. If we have built a barrier out of anger, pouting, and pride, reveal this to us so we can tear down this barrier, so that we may fulfill the vows that we promised we would.

Soften our hearts and strengthen our bond. Give us a conviction to pray for each other every day. Help us to lean on Your wisdom and strength instead of foolishly turning to our own selfish ways.

Teach us to let go of unreasonable expectations that drive us apart. Help us to focus on the things that make for peace.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. – Ephesians 4:29-32
