Quieting Your Heart – Advent Devotional Bible Study

Over the course of four weeks beginning Tuesday, November 28th, and leading up to Christmas, join me as we journey together through the rich biblical themes of Love, Joy, Hope, and Peace. Each day is a refreshing look at scripture, shedding light on timeless stories ranging from Jacob and Rachel’s enduring love to the inspiring resilience of Paul and Silas.

This advent-devotional Bible study is an invitation to rediscover the profound love of God, revealed in the humble birth of our Savior.

Karissa is also back to bless us each week with her insightful videos. If you would like more information on our study, visit our website.

Drawn to Your Word and Prayer
– Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We ask that You be with us as we walk the narrow road that lies before us. Please give us the strength to keep moving, and the wisdom to keep us from veering to the right or to the left. May You protect us from those who would try to hinder us with their deceptions.

May we grow with one heart and one mind, focused on doing Your will.

Please help us take our eyes off this world and everything that pulls us toward it. For this earth is merely a place we’re passing through on our way home. May we instead be drawn to Your Word and to prayer — to build us up, to strengthen and encourage us daily.

May our marriage be a testimony to others of bold inner faith. And may that faith grow stronger day after day.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. – James 1:3-5, KJV

____________________________

Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. – James 1:3-5, NIV
