To Be Trustworthy Companions –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, 

Remind us to be truthful with one another, and to be straightforward in all that we do. 

Your Word tells us to put off the old self and to be renewed in the image of Christ, and so we ask that by Your grace you help us to do that Lord — as Your Spirit guides us to live holy and blameless lives.

May we never have a reason to lie or an excuse to deceive one another. Train us to be trustworthy companions that walk in purity, strive for righteousness, and value truth. 

Renew our minds daily, Lord. Forgive us for the times that we’ve sinned. May we never fall back into our old ways. Your grace is a gift as we’re given the chance to be better today than we were yesterday. May we never take that grace for granted or abuse the freedoms we have. 

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
