The Power of Prayer –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Some days we don’t have the words to express the struggles we’re facing. We may not even realize the full extent of the temptations or the battles that are raging.

We’re thankful for Your Spirit, and the way that He searches our hearts to make intercession for us. We’re thankful that through prayer, Your Spirit cleanses and quiets the heart and leads us back to peace.

Thank You for Your Son through Whom is the victory through faith. Thank You for the battles You fight, and the healing You bring when we don’t even fully realize what’s taking place.

May we always do our part. May we fervently pray for our marriage and for each other. Even when we don’t know what to say or how to say it — may we never give up on the power of prayer.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
