For Those Who Are Struggling – Today’s Marriage Prayer
I’m using the next month to get our next Bible Study done. In the meantime, I redid one of our older studies The Full Armor Of God. I added more content, better graphics, and thought provoking questions. I won’t be going through this one with you as I want to focus on the new study, but if you are looking for a study to work on during my break, it will keep you busy.
It’s available for free in the members only section of the blog. If you are a subscriber, you can find the link to it at the bottom of the emails you have received.
It’s also available at Amazon. Click here if you would prefer to pick up a copy.
For Those Who Are Struggling –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up marriages that are encountering storms and trials. In Your boundless wisdom and grace, we ask for Your healing touch upon these relationships.
Lord, please guide each spouse to look not only to their own interests but also to the interests of their partner. Infuse their hearts with Your love, patience, and kindness. Where there is hurt, we ask that You bring healing; where there is anger, provide calm; where there is confusion, offer clarity.
Remind them, Father, that marriage is a covenant with You at the center. Rekindle their commitment to each other and strengthen their bonds with cords that cannot be broken. Allow them to experience the peace that comes from forgiveness and the joy that follows reconciliation.
Help them to remember the promises they made before You and to rely on Your strength to uphold these vows. Provide them with wisdom to navigate difficult conversations, and fill them with Your Spirit so that they may speak to each other with gentleness and respect.
Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for You. Revive and restore these marriages, making them testimonies of Your faithfulness and love. May these couples find in You their refuge and strength, their ever-present help in trouble.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. – Colossians 3:12-14, KJV
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. – Colossians 3:12-14, NIV
