Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to seek Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus. In the busy seasons and the quiet moments, let Your peace reign in our home.
Lord, guide us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Help us to communicate in gentleness with love and respect, to bear with one another in patience, and to always seek to understand before being understood. In moments of disagreement, remind us that our bond in You is stronger than any problem we may face.
We ask for Your wisdom to navigate each challenge with grace. Let Your Spirit lead us in every decision we make together, infusing our relationship with kindness, compassion, and love. May our words reflect Your love and our actions demonstrate the humility of Christ.
Bless our marriage with the fruit of Your Spirit. May love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control be ever-present in our lives. Teach us to love each other deeply, for love covers a multitude of sins.
