To Die To The Things Of This World – Today’s Marriage Prayer

We Are Currently Underway On Our New Study:
Jacob: Pursuing God With Steadfast Faith & Unyielding Courage

This new study will continue until August 20th. If you would like to join us, I encourage you to pick up a copy of the journal on Amazon. As we go through Jacob’s life story, chapter by chapter, we’ll see God’s plan of salvation, Christ’s work on the cross, and lessons rich in life application.

Karissa will be back to bless us with her insightful videos. Together, we look forward to a deep dive into God’s Word and fostering an even closer fellowship among us all. Your participation is the heartbeat of this group, and I can’t wait to see how God uses our collective thirst for wisdom to draw us nearer to Him and to one another.

To Die To The Things Of This World –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your enduring goodness to us. Thank You that we are able to express Your love to the world. It’s a difficult world to live in with so much resistance to the truth, but thank You that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

We come together asking that our marriage would be a light in this world—a lamp on a stand that shines brightly. We pray that our testimony of truth and love might bring honor to You while offering guidance, encouragement, and hope to others.

To a couple that is struggling in their marriage, perhaps we might be a light that leads them to truth. May we illustrate patience and grace.

Teach us to shine bright, Lord. Teach us to die to the things of this world and walk in Your love.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. – Luke 11:33, KJV

____________________________

No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. – Luke 11:33, NIV
