We Are Currently Underway On Our New Study:
Jacob: Pursuing God With Steadfast Faith & Unyielding Courage

This new study will continue until August 20th. If you would like to join us, I encourage you to pick up a copy of the journal on Amazon. As we go through Jacob’s life story, chapter by chapter, we’ll see God’s plan of salvation, Christ’s work on the cross, and lessons rich in life application.

Karissa is back to bless us with her insightful videos. Together, we’re taking a deep dive into God’s Word and fostering an even closer fellowship among us all. If you’re not already taking part, I do hope you’ll consider joining us!

Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help us to take our eyes off of our own needs and desires, to focus on the needs of our marriage. Teach us to grow closer to You as we grow closer together. Remind us, Lord, how unity is strength and how a strand of three cords is not quickly broken.

Your Word tells us that two are better than one. We’ve seen this in our own lives as we are a source of comfort and strength to each other.

When we learn patience and kindness by Your grace we learn to work as a team. We learn to stand strong when the other is weak, and find words that lift up when the other is down.

Created with this union in mind, we were designed one for the other. Yet some days it’s hard as we are growing in grace. So we ask that You give us Your wisdom and strength, Lord, as we’re learning to love.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, KJV

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, NIV
