Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Contrary to what the world believes, love is much more than a feeling, and showing our love is more than saying three little words. It’s a deep commitment to serve and cherish each other regardless of how we might feel at the moment. It’s standing on a firm foundation of faith when it sometimes seems like the ground around us is shifting. It’s working together through the good times and bad.
You have poured Your love into our hearts through Your Spirit. Help us to love well. Give us the will to fight for our marriage if we want to give up.
Open our eyes, Lord. Help us to understand each other in the best way we can. Give us a passionate love that lasts through the years. Teach us how to express our love in ways that minister to our hearts and bind us together.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
