The Cornerstone Of Our Faith

The Cornerstone Of Our Faith –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Heavenly Father, Your Word tells us that Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith, the foundation upon which all things are built. It is Your will that we be conformed to the image of Your Son, shaped by His grace, love, and sacrifice. Just as Jesus gave His life so we might live, may we die to ourselves, laying down selfish desires, and rise with Him, in His likeness and strength.

Help us, Lord, to stubbornly, steadfastly fix our minds on things above—on Your truth, Your promises, and Your eternal purposes—rather than on the fleeting concerns of this world. Let us always seek Your kingdom first, trusting that when we do, everything else will fall into place.

Father, we ask that You always be the unshakable foundation of our marriage. Let everything we do as a couple be done according to Your will and for the sake of Your glory. May our actions, words, and decisions reflect our love for You, and may they bring honor to Your name.

Couples often enter marriage hoping to be filled, longing to love and be loved in return. But Lord, we desire more for our marriage than what this world can offer. We long for a love that reflects the fullness of Your love for us—a love that is patient, kind, enduring, and steadfast. We know that when we put our hope in You, we are filled to overflowing with a joy and peace that surpasses all understanding. When our faith is rooted in Jesus Christ, we discover a love that cannot be found in the temporary pleasures of this life, but one that is eternal, incomparable, and unshakable.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. – Ephesians 4:29, KJV

Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. – Ephesians 4:29, NIV
