You Know Us Intimately

You Know Us Intimately –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your Word reminds us that You know us intimately. You see every moment of our lives, our thoughts, our actions, and even the words we have yet to speak. You know us so completely that You even count the hairs on our head. You understand what motivates us, what burdens us, and what brings us joy. Your love for us is truly beyond comprehension.

Just as You’ve called us to close fellowship with Your Son, You also designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant. A union where two become one, learning to love, serve, and honor each other as a reflection of Your love.

We ask, Lord, that You help us grow in Your grace, teaching us to love as You have called us to love—gently, patiently, and always forgiving. Help us to support each other with kindness, give space for growth, and serve one another with humble hearts full of joy. May our marriage be a faithful example of Your love to those around us.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. – Psalm 139:1-6, KJV

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. – Psalm 139:1-6, NIV
