Quiet Our Hearts And Find Peace In You –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Some days, it’s the responsibilities at home, other times it’s our packed schedule, and somewhere in between, our lives are turned upside down, thrown into chaos. With so much to do and so little time, we barely have a moment to catch our breath. In the midst of the busyness and confusion, we ask that You remind us to seek rest and draw our strength from Your presence. Help us to slow down, quiet our hearts, and find peace in You.
Like a sturdy oak tree, deeply rooted and unshaken, may we stand firm in the love of our Savior — grounded in faith, overflowing with gratitude, and patient through every season. As Jeremiah wrote, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord… They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.”
Teach us to pause, no matter how busy or distracted we may be, to pray together and spend time in Your Word. Give us the wisdom to set healthy boundaries with our time, so that we always have room for one another. Help us build godly habits that draw us closer to You and strengthen our marriage.
For the closer we grow to You, the closer we’ll grow to each other.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. – Jeremiah 17:5-8, KJV

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” – Jeremiah 17:5-8, NIV
