Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, asking that You complete the good work You have begun in us. You are the author of our marriage, and we trust that Your plans for us are perfect. Grant us the wisdom to nurture the seeds of faith, love, and patience that You have planted in our hearts. Help us to carefully tend to those things that will strengthen us, while giving us the discernment to remove anything that might hinder our growth in You.
Lord, we desire to be vessels for Your glory. Bring out the best in us as we strive to reflect Your love, grace, and truth in all we do. Show us the ways to honor You through our marriage and to lift each other up in ways that glorify Your name. Let our actions, both big and small, point others to Your goodness.
Help us to be discerning in every decision we make, choosing truth over comfort, and righteousness over ease. Give us the courage to stand firm in Your Word, even when the path ahead seems uncertain or difficult. Let us always remember that true joy comes not from seeking our own way, but from following Your perfect will.
We surrender ourselves to Your hands, Lord. Like clay in the hands of a potter, we are willing to be molded and fashioned into whatever purpose You have for us. Teach us to trust in You, especially in times of adversity. Remind us that Your plans are always unfolding, even when we cannot see the whole picture, and that in Your timing, all things come together for good.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
