We Sense The Nearness Of Christ’s Return –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We sense the nearness of Christ’s return as we witness so many signs unfolding around us, just as Scripture foretold. Jesus Himself reminded us that His coming could be at any moment, and so we ask: Are our hearts prepared? Are we faithfully using the gifts and resources You have entrusted to us for Your kingdom?

Shape us, Lord, for the return of Your Son. Let our lives reflect Your purpose and our hearts be softened to Your will. Teach us to use each day wisely, growing in faith, and spreading the Good News of Christ until He comes. Just as a bride adorns herself for her bridegroom, may we clothe ourselves in truth, love, and faith, ready to stand before You.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8, KJV

So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. – 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8, NIV
