Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We live in a world where marriage is too often thought of as disposable. At the first sign of trouble, many couples look back to simpler days, free of the pressures and responsibilities that marriage can bring. Too often vows are set aside, and sacred covenants are broken.
If they had only understood the transforming power of a Christ-centered marriage—they would hold onto each other and never let go. While some days may be challenging, diligently seeking Your wisdom, godliness, self-control, and strength will diminish this world’s influence on any marriage and help us to see things in the proper light.
Lord, we ask that You watch over our marriage. May our words and actions reflect Your wisdom and grace. Help us to wisely build our home on the unshakable foundation of Jesus Christ. No matter the storms that rage or the floods that threaten to overwhelm us, we trust that our foundation in You will remain secure.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
