We Lift Up Our Eyes To You (Psalm 121) –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up our eyes to You, the Maker of heaven and earth. In our marriage, we know that our help comes from You alone. You are our protector, our provider, and the one who watches over us with unfailing love.
Teach us, Lord, to lean on You in every season—whether the path feels steep and uncertain, or the sun is shining brightly on our journey together. Guard our hearts from fear and doubt, and remind us that You never slumber or grow weary. You are always watching over us, day and night, keeping our steps secure.
Help us to love each other with patience and humility, relying on Your strength when our own feels weak. May You always be the keeper of our marriage, Lord, shielding us from harm and guiding us in truth. May our home be a place where Your presence is felt, where we walk in Your will, and where we glorify You in all that we do.
Thank You for being our ever-present help, from this day forward and forevermore. We place ourselves into Your hands, knowing that You are faithful to carry us through.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. – Psalm 121, KJV
__________________________
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. – Psalm 121, NIV
