On The Threshold Of A New Year –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
As we stand on the threshold of a new year, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the journey we’ve shared together. Thank You for walking with us through every moment—both the beautiful and the challenging.
This year, we seek to grow closer to You and to one another. Teach us to cherish the gift of our marriage and to honor the covenant we’ve made. May we be quick to forgive, eager to listen, and always ready to love as You have loved us.
Help us to approach this year with hopeful hearts, trusting in Your faithfulness. When challenges arise, remind us of Your sovereignty. Let us be each other’s safe place, where grace is abundant and understanding flows freely.
Lord, we ask for wisdom to build a home that reflects Your love—a place filled with peace, laughter, and encouragement. May we serve one another selflessly and work together as partners in everything we do. Show us how to use our strengths to support each other and how to grow through our weaknesses.
As we make plans for this year, help us to remember that You are the one who holds our future. Teach us to trust in Your timing and to seek Your will above our own. Fill our hearts with Your joy and remind us to celebrate the little things, knowing they are gifts from You.
Thank You, Lord, for the blessing of doing life together. We pray that our love will be a reflection of Your love—a light that shines brightly for those around us. Bless this new year, and may it be one that draws us ever closer to You and to each other.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
