Comparison Steals Joy –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We know that every love story is unique, crafted by Your hand and designed for Your purpose. But Lord, it’s so easy to look around and compare our relationship to others—to wish for what we don’t have or to feel that we’re falling short.

Help us to see our marriage through Your eyes and not through the lens of comparison. Protect us from the temptation to measure our journey against someone else’s. Instead, teach us to trust that You are working in our marriage, in our hearts, and in our story for Your glory.

When we feel discouraged or insecure, remind us that You’ve placed us together for a reason, and the work You’ve begun in us is something only You can complete. Help us to celebrate the small victories, to be grateful for the ordinary moments, and to cherish the life we share.

Lord, fill our hearts with gratitude and contentment. Let us find joy in the life we’re building together, recognizing that comparison steals joy, but trusting You brings peace. May we encourage each other daily, lift each other up in prayer, and walk hand in hand toward the future You’ve planned for us.

Thank You for the love we share, the lessons we’re learning, and the hope we have in You. Let our marriage be a reflection of Your faithfulness and grace, a story that points to Your goodness.
