Our Next Study Starts Soon!

I’m excited to share that our next Bible study, Discovering Joy: Not Because Life is Perfect, but Because God is Faithful, begins Tuesday February 11th.
This interactive devotional is designed to help us uncover joy, not the fleeting kind that shifts with the winds of change, but a steadfast joy rooted in the faithfulness of God and held steady by His unchanging love.
Each chapter offers a short devotional to encourage your heart, a reading prompt to guide your study, and verse maps—a unique way to help you dig deeper into Scripture. You’ll also find moments of gratitude, practical ways to cultivate joy, and inspiring stories that remind us of God’s goodness.
Each week we’ll cover three chapters of the book, for a total of five weeks.

Being Slow to Anger –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
In the moments when frustration rises and tempers are tested, remind us of the wisdom found in Your Word: “A gentle answer turns away wrath” (Proverbs 15:1). Help us to be slow to anger, quick to listen, and filled with grace toward one another.
Teach us to respond with kindness instead of reacting in frustration. Soften our words, Lord, and season them with love. When tension builds, help us to pause and seek Your peace before we speak. May our conversations reflect patience, understanding, and the deep respect we hold for each other.
Father, we know that harsh words can wound, but gentle words bring healing. Strengthen our hearts so that we do not let small offenses grow into bitterness. Instead, let us be a source of encouragement to one another, building up rather than tearing down.
Thank You for Your endless mercy toward us. May we extend that same mercy in our marriage, showing love even in difficult moments. Help us to honor You in the way we treat each other, reflecting Your kindness and grace in our home.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
