The Power To Build Up — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We know that our words have the power to build up or tear down, to encourage or to wound. Help us, Lord, to choose words that strengthen and uplift, words that bring life and not discouragement.
Teach us to be each other’s biggest supporters, to see the best in one another, and to remind each other of Your truth when doubts arise. When the world is harsh, let our home be a place of peace, grace, and kindness. When we face challenges, may we stand together, holding onto faith and lifting each other up in love.
Help us to celebrate each other’s victories without envy and to be a source of comfort in times of struggle. Soften our hearts when we are tempted to be critical or impatient, and fill us with a spirit of gentleness and encouragement. May our love reflect the love of Christ—patient, kind, and always seeking to bring out the best in each other.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. — 1 Thessalonians 5:11, NIV
