Love Covers Over All Wrongs

Love Covers Over All Wrongs — Today's Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We know that in marriage, there will be moments of misunderstanding, frustration, and hurt. But Lord, You have called us to something greater—to love that chooses grace over resentment, patience over anger, and unity over division.

Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 10:12 that “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all transgressions.” Help us to live out this truth in our marriage. When we fall short, may we be quick to forgive and slow to keep record of wrongs. When harsh words are spoken, let love soften our hearts and remind us that grace is more powerful than any offense.

Teach us to love as You love—with a heart that seeks restoration, not revenge. May our marriage be a place of peace, where love covers over all wrongs, builds trust, and strengthens our commitment to each other. Help us to reflect Your mercy in the way we speak, listen, and respond to one another.

Thank You, Lord, for loving us despite our flaws. May that same love fill our home and overflow into every part of our marriage.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
