A Desire To Put You First — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We confess that it’s easy to be pulled in different directions—work, responsibilities, distractions, and entertainment all compete for our time. But, Lord, we long for something greater. We desire to put You first.
Help us, as husband and wife, to be intentional about making time each day for Your Word and prayer. Teach us to cherish those quiet moments with You, knowing that they are not just habits, but the very foundation of our faith and our marriage. May we encourage each other to seek You daily, reminding one another of the peace and wisdom found in Your presence.
Guard our hearts against the lure of worldly pursuits that take priority over time spent with You. Give us discernment to set aside distractions and choose what truly matters. Let our home be filled with conversations about You, with Scripture on our lips, and with prayers that strengthen not only our faith but also our love for one another.
Lord, deepen our hunger for Your truth. Let the time we spend with You shape our thoughts, our words, and our actions. And as we grow in Your Word, may we grow in grace, patience, and love—reflecting Your goodness in our marriage.
