To Guard Our Eyes — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of sight and for the beauty You’ve created all around us. Today we ask for Your help to guard our eyes and be mindful of what we focus on—not just in the world around us, but also in the quiet places of our hearts.
Help us to turn our eyes away from things that stir up discontent, temptation, or comparison. Teach us to look to You first, to see the good in each other, and to stay focused on the truth of Your Word.
Strengthen our marriage by helping us protect our hearts from anything that could drive a wedge between us. May our home be a place where purity, honesty, and encouragement are welcomed in—while harmful influences are kept out.
Give us wisdom to make choices that honor You. And when we’re tempted to linger on the wrong things, help us quickly turn our gaze back to You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith.
