To Be Quick to Own Our Mistakes — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We admit it’s not always easy to say, “I’m sorry,” and sometimes it’s even harder to forgive. But You’ve shown us what grace looks like — through the cross, through Your mercy, through the love You pour into our lives every day.
Teach us to be quick to own our mistakes and slow to hold onto hurt. Help us not to let pride or fear get in the way of peace. Soften our hearts toward each other, and give us the courage to have honest conversations — even when they’re hard.
May our words bring healing. May our love grow deeper as we choose grace over grudge, humility over stubbornness, and unity over silence.
We want a marriage that reflects Your kindness, one that’s rooted in forgiveness and shaped by love.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
