Bearing the Fruit of the Spirit — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this marriage and the opportunity to grow together in love and faith. Some days are easier than others, and there are moments when we don’t always see eye to eye—but we know that Your Spirit is at work in us.
Teach us to walk in step with You, so that the fruit of Your Spirit flows freely through our words, our choices, and the way we treat each other. Fill our home with love that never gives up, joy that lifts us in hard times, and peace that quiets our anxious hearts.
Help us to show patience when we’re frustrated, kindness when it’s easier to be short, and goodness in the small things we do each day. Let faithfulness anchor us in commitment, gentleness soften our tone, and self-control guide our actions.
Shape us into a reflection of Your grace, Lord. Make our marriage a place where the fruit of the Spirit is not only visible—but abundant.
