Rekindling Our Love - Today's Marriage Prayers
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for the love that first brought us together. Life has changed since those early days—there have been seasons of joy and sorrow, growth and weariness—but through it all, You’ve held us.
Today we ask You to renew the affection in our hearts. Help us to fall in love all over again—not with an ideal, but with the real, imperfect, beautiful person You’ve given us. Teach us to cherish each other, to delight in one another’s presence, and to notice the small things that make love flourish.
Let laughter fill our home. Let kindness mark our tone. And let our touch—whether a simple hug or a hand held in quiet—be a reminder that we are for each other.
May no flood of stress, busyness, or misunderstanding ever quench the love You’ve planted between us. Breathe fresh passion, tenderness, and joy into our marriage, Lord. Make us newly aware of the gift we have in one another.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned. — Song of Solomon 8:7, KJV
Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away. If one were to give all the wealth of one’s house for love, it would be utterly scorned. — Song of Solomon 8:7, NIV
