I Will Give You Rest - Today's Marriage Prayers
Dear heavenly Father,
Sometimes life feels like a constant race—so many needs, so many pressures, so much noise. In the middle of it all, we come to You as a couple, asking for rest. Not just physical rest, but deep soul rest that quiets our hearts and draws us close to You and to each other.
Teach us to lay down the burdens we were never meant to carry. Whether it’s worry, regret, fear, or pressure to perform—help us surrender it all into Your hands. Let our home be a place where Your peace dwells richly, where our hearts can exhale, and where we find joy in simply being together.
When we’re both weary, remind us that we don’t have to fix everything. We just need to come to You—gentle, lowly, and full of compassion. We want to learn from You, Lord. Teach us what it means to walk in step with Your pace, not the world’s.
And when life speeds up again, help us remember this truth: our rest is found not in a perfectly balanced schedule, but in You.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
