Guarding Our Marriage from Distraction - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Life can get so noisy. There’s always something calling for our attention—tasks to finish, places to be, notifications lighting up our phones. And in the middle of it all, it’s easy to forget to pause and truly see each other.
Help us not to let the distractions win. Teach us to slow down and sit with each other—to talk without rushing, to listen without checking out, to hold space for connection in the middle of the busy.
Like Martha, we sometimes run around trying to manage everything. But like Mary, we want to choose what’s better—time at Your feet, time with each other, time to simply be in the moment.
Guard our marriage, Lord. Help us protect it from the noise and the pull of lesser things. Center our hearts on what really matters: love, presence, and the quiet strength that comes from keeping You first.
