A Love That Reflects the Gospel - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Marriage isn’t just about us. It’s about You. Every promise we’ve made, every act of love, every moment of grace—it’s meant to reflect something far greater: the gospel.
Help us to love each other like You love us—sacrificially, faithfully, without keeping score. Not only when it’s easy, but especially when it’s costly. Because the world doesn’t need to see perfect couples—it needs to see the power of redemption.
When we’re hurt, teach us to forgive. When we’re proud, teach us to serve. When we’re distant, teach us to draw near again. Let our marriage be a living parable—one that tells the story of mercy, covenant, and grace.
You gave Yourself up for us… may we give ourselves up for each other.
We don’t want to settle for a love that looks like the world. We want a love that looks like the cross.
