Building on the Eternal - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Every home is built on something—some on success, some on comfort, some on fleeting desires. But we know there is only one true foundation that will last: Jesus Christ.
Remind us that our marriage isn’t just about the here and now—it’s about eternity. Each word we speak, each choice we make, each act of love or forgiveness is like laying stone upon stone. And the question we must keep asking is this: are we building on what will endure, or on what will crumble?
Keep us mindful, Lord, that a marriage rooted in You will stand through trials, storms, and the shifting winds of culture. Teach us to value what is eternal over what is temporary, so that our love story is one that glorifies You long after our voices fade.
