Growing in Patience - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of marriage and the daily opportunities it gives us to grow in love. We confess that patience doesn’t always come easily—we can be quick to speak, quick to react, or quick to assume. But You’ve called us to something better: humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in love.
Teach us to slow down when emotions rise, to listen with care, and to give each other room to grow. Remind us that patience is not weakness, but strength under Your control. And when we fall short, help us to be quick to forgive, just as You have forgiven us.
Let our marriage be a reflection of Your patience toward us—a love that is steady, kind, and enduring.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
