Guide Our Words With Wisdom - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of communication and for the power our words hold. We ask that You guide our words with wisdom. When we speak, help us to choose words that heal rather than hurt, words that strengthen rather than tear down.
Teach us to pause before responding, especially in moments of stress or misunderstanding. We ask that You help us speak with clarity, kindness, and grace—reflecting the patience You show us every day. When emotions rise, steady our thoughts so that our words bring peace instead of tension.
Lord, may our conversations reflect the heart of Christ. Help us to listen well, respond gently, and speak truth lovingly. Guard our home from harsh tones and careless remarks, and fill it instead with encouragement, understanding, and respect.
We ask that our words become tools of blessing, shaping a marriage where love is strengthened and unity grows deeper with each passing day.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
