Keep Our Hearts Soft - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the tenderness You show us—patient, steady, and full of mercy. We ask that You keep our hearts soft toward one another. When life presses in and weariness settles, guard us from becoming closed off, defensive, or distant in ways we don’t always notice.
Teach us to remain responsive rather than guarded. Help us to listen without hardening, to forgive without delay, and to love without keeping record. We ask that You make us aware of the moments when our hearts begin to stiffen, and gently lead us back to compassion and grace.
Lord, soften us where disappointment has left marks, where misunderstandings have lingered, or where routine has dulled our attentiveness. Remind us that a soft heart is not a weak one—it is a heart shaped by trust in You and guided by Your Spirit.
We ask that our marriage be marked by this tenderness: hearts that remain open, willing, and responsive to Your leading. Keep us soft, Father, so love can continue to grow and reflect the mercy You have shown us so faithfully.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We are now underway on our current study —
The Four Gifts: Discover the Beauty of
Christmas Wrapped Up in God’s Love.
Unlike our usual Bible studies, our current study is more of a devotional style that encourages you to slow down and spend quiet time with the Lord. Each day offers inspiring stories, Scripture readings, simple challenges, and questions designed to draw you closer to Christ while reminding you how deeply you’re loved.
Take a moment amidst the holiday hustle to unwrap God’s faithful, sacrificial, transforming, and eternal love.
Let’s make this Christmas a true celebration of our Savior—and if you know someone who could use a reminder of how deeply God loves them, invite them to join us. It might be just the encouragement their heart needs this season.
