A Prayer of Dependence and Hope — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the privilege of coming before You as Your people—loved, redeemed, and sustained by Your grace. We ask that You draw our hearts toward You today. Teach us to depend on Your strength rather than our own, and to anchor our hope in the promises of Your Word.
For those who enter this day with joy, we thank You. Strengthen their gratitude and help them use their blessings for Your glory.
For those who enter with burdens too heavy to name, we ask that You carry them. Give peace where there is anxiety, comfort where there is sorrow, and direction where there is uncertainty.
Lord, we ask that You shape our lives by the truth of Scripture. Guard our hearts from wandering, steady our minds in the midst of distraction, and deepen our love for Christ. Help us walk in humility, treating one another with patience and kindness as You have shown to us.
We ask for wisdom for every decision ahead, for courage to obey when the path is difficult, and for perseverance to remain faithful in the work You have given us.
May Your Spirit guide our steps, Your Word light our path, and Your presence be our rest. Keep us close to You, Father, and help us reflect the character of Christ in every part of our lives.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
