Dear heavenly Father,

Thank You for defining love so clearly in Your Word. Not as a passing feeling, but as a steady way of living — patient, kind, and faithful when life is ordinary and when life is hard. Today we ask You to shape that kind of love in our marriage.

Teach us patience that doesn’t rush or demand. Form kindness in us that shows up in our tone, our timing, and the way we treat each other when no one else is watching. Keep envy and comparison far from our home. Pull pride up by the roots, and replace it with humility that prefers the other.

Lord, when irritation rises, quiet us. When we feel misunderstood, help us to respond with gentleness instead of sharpness. Keep us from keeping a record of wrongs. Teach us to let offenses go, to forgive fully, and to choose peace over proving a point.

Help love be the steady covering over our marriage — protecting what is fragile, trusting where fear would take over, hoping when the day feels heavy, and persevering when growth takes time.

Father, let truth and love walk together in our home. Give us courage to speak honestly, and grace to speak carefully. Make our marriage a place where love is not only spoken, but practiced — day by day, moment by moment.

Do this work in us by Your Spirit, so our love reflects the love of Christ.
