Extending Grace to One Another — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Your Word calls us to bear with one another and to forgive as the Lord forgave us. Today we come before You asking for hearts that reflect that same grace in our marriage.
You know how easily small hurts can linger. A careless word, a misunderstanding, a moment of impatience—these things can quietly settle in the heart if we are not careful. Teach us to release them quickly.
Lord, give us patience with one another’s weaknesses. When frustration rises, remind us how patient You have been with us. When mistakes happen, help us respond with mercy instead of judgment.
Guard us from keeping a quiet record of wrongs. Instead, lead us to extend forgiveness freely and sincerely. Let humility guide our apologies and tenderness guide our responses.
Father, make our marriage a place where grace is common and forgiveness is quick. Let kindness soften our tone and compassion steady our reactions. May the mercy we receive from You overflow into the way we treat one another.
Thank You for the gift of forgiveness that restores peace and renews love.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
