Keeping Our Minds Steady on You — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Your Word tells us that You keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Today we ask You to steady our thoughts and settle our hearts as we walk through marriage together.
So much begins in the mind.
When worries begin to circle, quiet them. When assumptions take hold, correct them. When frustration starts to grow, help us pause and turn our thoughts back toward truth.
Lord, help us think well of one another. Guard us from jumping to conclusions or replaying negative thoughts that shape our responses. Teach us to dwell on what is true, good, and faithful in each other.
When life feels uncertain, anchor our thoughts in trust. Remind us that You are present, that You are working, and that nothing we face is outside of Your care.
Father, let peace settle over our marriage—not a fragile peace based on circumstances, but a steady calm that comes from trusting You. Shape our inner thoughts so that our outward responses reflect patience, clarity, and grace.
Keep our minds fixed on You, and let that steadiness strengthen the way we love one another.
