A Marriage That Walks in Truth — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We come before You today, knowing how important truth is, and yet how easily we can drift from it. At times we soften what needs to be said, avoid what needs to be faced, or allow our thoughts to be shaped more by feelings than by Your Word.
Lead us in truth.
Teach us to love what is true, even when it’s uncomfortable. Help us to be honest with one another, not in a harsh or careless way, but with sincerity and grace. Guard us from deception—both in what we say and in what we allow ourselves to believe.
Lord, we ask that You would align our hearts with Your Word.
When confusion arises, give us clarity.
When emotions run high, steady us with truth.
When we are tempted to avoid difficult conversations, give us courage to speak with wisdom and love.
Let truth strengthen our marriage.
Not as a tool to correct one another, but as a foundation we both stand on. Teach us to listen well, to respond carefully, and to remain grounded in what You have said.
Draw us closer to Christ, who is the truth. As we follow Him, shape our hearts so that our words, our actions, and our decisions reflect His character more and more.
May our marriage be marked by honesty, integrity, and a shared commitment to walk in Your ways.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
