A Marriage That Honors One Another — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We come before You today, recognizing how easily we can take one another for granted. Familiarity can dull our appreciation, and over time, we may begin to overlook the value of the person You’ve placed beside us.
Teach us to truly honor one another.
Help us to see each other with fresh eyes—not through frustration or assumption, but with gratitude and respect. Remind us that this relationship is a gift, entrusted to us by You, and worthy of care.
Lord, we ask that You would shape our attitudes.
When we’re tempted to be dismissive, help us to see clearly.
When we grow critical, turn our hearts toward appreciation.
When we feel unnoticed, help us to give what we long to receive.
Give us words that build up.
Words that affirm.
Words that encourage.
Words that reflect the value we hold for one another.
And let our actions follow.
In the way we listen.
In the way we respond.
In the way we choose to show love, even in the smallest moments.
Shape our marriage through honor.
Not as a performance, but as a genuine expression of love and respect. Let it strengthen trust, deepen connection, and reflect the way You call us to treat one another.
Draw us closer to Christ, who sees our worth and loves us with unwavering care. As we follow Him, teach us to honor one another with sincerity and grace.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
