A Marriage That Walks in Kindness — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We come before You today, knowing how much kindness matters in a marriage. It’s often found in the small things—the tone of our voice, the way we respond, the care we show in everyday moments.
Teach us to be kind.
Not only when it’s easy, but especially when it’s not. Help us to respond with gentleness instead of impatience, and with compassion instead of frustration. Remind us that kindness reflects Your heart and draws us closer to one another.
Lord, we ask that You would shape our actions.
When we’re tired, help us to remain thoughtful.
When we feel hurt, guide us to respond with grace.
When we’re tempted to withdraw, lead us to move toward each other with care.
Give us eyes to notice what matters.
To see when encouragement is needed.
To offer help without being asked.
To speak words that uplift and strengthen.
Shape our marriage through kindness.
Let it soften difficult moments, strengthen our connection, and create a home where love is clearly seen and felt. Let kindness become a steady presence in our relationship, guiding how we live and love each day.
Draw us closer to Christ, who has shown us unfailing kindness. As we follow Him, teach us to reflect that same kindness with one another.
