A Marriage That Walks in Obedience — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We come before You today, knowing that obedience is not always easy. There are times when Your Word calls us in a direction that stretches us, challenges us, or asks us to respond differently than we naturally would.
Teach us to walk in obedience.
Help us not to follow our feelings or lean on our own understanding, but to trust that Your ways are always right. Give us hearts that are willing to listen and ready to respond when You lead.
Lord, we ask that You would guide our steps.
When we are unsure, help us to choose what honors You.
When obedience feels difficult, give us strength to follow through.
When we are tempted to go our own way, gently draw us back.
Give us a shared commitment.
To live according to Your Word.
To encourage one another in doing what is right.
To remain faithful, even when it requires sacrifice.
Shape our marriage through obedience.
Let it become a steady foundation that keeps us aligned with Your will. Let it protect us from unnecessary struggle and lead us into the life You have prepared for us.
Draw us closer to Christ, who walked in perfect obedience to the Father. As we follow Him, teach us to live in a way that reflects trust, faithfulness, and a desire to honor You in all we do.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
