In My Father's House

Our newest Bible Study In My Father’s House is now underway.

It’s not too late to join as we see the beautiful work God is doing in His people as He gathers, shapes, strengthens, and prepares us for the eternal home He has promised.

In My Father’s House is a study about belonging, surrender, refinement, hope, and the promise that one day, every child of God will finally be home.

Teach Us to Finish the Day Well

Teach Us to Finish the Day Well — Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

Some days seem to disappear before we even have a chance to catch our breath. We start the morning with good intentions, but somewhere between the responsibilities, the interruptions, and the unexpected moments, we’re tired. And if we’re not careful, we can end the day by giving what’s left of ourselves to the person we love most.

Father, help us finish the day well.

When we’re weary, remind us that kindness still matters. When we’re carrying the weight of the day, help us set it down before we carry it into our conversations. Give us the wisdom to recognize when our spouse needs a listening ear more than an answer, a hug more than a solution, or simply the comfort of knowing they’re not carrying life’s burdens alone.

Teach us not to let the sun go down on hurried words or lingering frustration. Instead, help us end each day with grace. May there be forgiveness where it’s needed, laughter whenever we can find it, and peace that comes from knowing You have been faithful through another day.

Lord, thank You for meeting us in the ordinary rhythm of life. Tomorrow will bring new responsibilities, but it will also bring new mercies. Help us close this day with thankful hearts, trusting that the One who watched over us today will be just as faithful when the morning comes.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. — Psalm 4:8, KJV

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. — Psalm 4:8, NIV
