A Fullness Of Joy, Peace, And Victory

A Fullness Of Joy, Peace, And Victory –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Before we were born You were there, designing us to fit together as one. Before we said “I do,” You knew that we would. All through our lives, we have seen You at work. Your mercies are new every day. Your grace is unfailing, Your love is endless, and Your gifts have no bounds.

You walk by our side. You pick us up when we fall. You make our paths straight.

And what do we do? We worry, and stress… We worry about tomorrow, wondering what it will bring, and what we can do to change it. We focus in on our weaknesses, forgetting that we serve an almighty God. We let today’s troubles weigh heavy on us, instead of releasing them into Your hands.

Help us to trust in Your faithfulness, Lord. You’ve proved it to us again and again, and still, we waiver. Help us to rejoice even in our trials so that we can experience a fullness of joy, peace, and victory in our marriage. Help us to let go of our troubles, and trust that You’re completely in control.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.- 1 Peter 1:6-9, KJV

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. – 1 Peter 1:6-9, NIV
