A Hatred Of Sin In Our Hearts –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts, knowing that You have brought us together to walk this journey as one. Today, we pray for a deep, unyielding hatred of sin in our hearts.
Lord, help us to see sin for what it truly is: a barrier that distances us from You and creates division in our marriage. Give us discernment to recognize temptation and the strength to resist it. May we be each other’s encouragement, reminding one another to choose holiness over compromise, righteousness over wrongdoing, and integrity over deceit.
Teach us to love what is pure and good, and to reject even the smallest trace of sin in our lives. May we carefully guard our minds and keep all thoughts captive to obedience to Christ Jesus our Lord. Let our marriage be a testament of purity and godliness, as we pursue You and walk according to Your Word.
Guard our hearts, Father, that we would love You, and not be drawn into a love for this world. Fill us with Your Spirit, so that our marriage reflects Your holiness, and our love grows stronger in You each day. May we hate what is evil and cling to what is good, so that our marriage stands firm on a foundation of faith and purity.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
